Creating The Book "Held" Through Overcoming Obstacles .

So grateful to get the opportunity to talk to Esther about her book, Held , coming out in 2017. Especially with it being so personal and so powerful in sharing stories about healing. Esther is a momma of 4 who has been married for 14 years, a successful entrepreneur and keynote speaker. I have taken a look at several snippets of her speeches and heard Esther speak in person, and she is just one of those people who you feel like just shares encouragement with every word she speaks.

Esther's book Held, was created to help others find the freedom and the power to not be held back any longer. I really felt like she was the perfect person to open up this new "series" or journey of episodes catering to women and our struggles in life whatever they may be. It is hard to be in a Facebook world and be broken. Or to have a feeling of failure or baggage when it seems like everyone is so together or at least if we aren't we don't talk about it. But I believe that is the last thing we need to be doing. We need to be rallying with each other to help each other find acceptance, comfort, empowerment and healing. And man, what better way to start this idea off than with Esther talking about her book, that accomplishes just that.

I am still in and out of therapy just to be completely honest with you, I may be for the rest of my life. And I view myself sometimes as a car. It’s always going to need maintenance, it’s always going to need an oil change or a filter change. And I think that’s healthy for all human beings whether we’ve been through difficulties or not.

"Just like bathing or showering everyday, our personal maintenance and re-focusing is needed."

Strive for excellence, NOT perfection

"Who are you before you were told who you should be, or what you should be, or what you shouldn't be?"

To realize the power that they have, and how to stand in that power and in their truth. And to not let anyone take their God given power away even themselves. How to not self sabotage.
